A excellent book which is highly visual & engaging packed with all the information, from basic biology to more advanced, ideal for those starting on a nursing pathway.
Lovely illustrations, and a simple overview of many different systems and diseases. I wish that Ross & Wilson would produce an in-depth, comprehensive textbook (e.g. like Guyton and Hall) with the same simplicity and illustrations as this book.

Good book would recommend for health courses
This is an excellent book building on previous editions. It is well written throughout and pitched at the right academic level for my students. The illustrations and figures are of a high quality and well positioned so that they reinforce the textual content. The self assessment exercises are good and consolidate learning for each topic area. The addition of information regarding specific disease states allows the learner to put what they have learnt in to a clinical context.
